Japie is not a financial product. It is an inspired project developed over years of vision, built as a practical system for people worldwide. It is grounded in resilient farming communities across Southern Africa’s safe zones, including Namibia, Zambia, and the Northern Cape of South Africa. We are building a secure haven where value can be stored in something real, where communities can be strengthened, where food security can be reinforced, and where geographical safety can exist as a real option in times of crisis. All of this is accessible from anywhere in the world.

Japie is the mechanism that turns cattle ownership into a structured, managed, and tradable store of value. Japies participate by acquiring COW units, which represent a proportional share in a professionally managed herd held in custodianship with vetted farmers. The herd is cared for through disciplined operational systems, veterinary oversight, and clear accountability. Japies do not manage farms or make day to day decisions. They hold a claim to real cattle value within a wider system designed to protect the herd, manage risk, and keep the asset liquid. 

Everyone is looking for a “safe haven” asset, but most options still depend on the same fragile systems people are trying to hedge against. Cattle are different because they are not an idea of value. They are value in living form: tangible, productive, and universally understood. Like gold, cattle hold worth because they are scarce, desired, and recognised across communities. But unlike stock market gold, farming cattle is not a paper promise or a ledger entry that depends on intermediaries, permissions, or access in the moment you need it most.
