VALUE YOU CAN TOUCH

At the heart of Japie is COW: a structured unit of value linked to real, productive cattle. Japies hold a defined position in a professionally managed herd, without needing land, farming infrastructure, or direct herd management.

EACH COW IS

Real
Linked to cattle raised on Southern African farms, under the care of experienced farmers and within a structured custodianship framework.

Productive
Connected to breeding cattle that form part of a living agricultural system. The value is supported by real herd activity, including animal health, fertility, calf cycles and responsible livestock management.

Proportional
Not tied to one individual animal, but to a defined position within the broader Japie herd. This helps reduce dependence on a single cow, breed, farm or region.

Tangible
Rooted in livestock, food production and farming communities, not paper promises or digital speculation.

Adaptable
Because a COW is not fixed to one specific animal or location, Japie can keep it allocated within the most suitable part of the herd network as conditions change.

UNDERSTANDING THE VALUE OF COW

The value of a COW lies in its connection to productive breeding capacity within Japie’s managed herd.

Instead of owning one specific animal that may age, decline or die, a Japie holds a defined productive unit linked to the average productive value and performance of the herd. This means the value of a COW is grounded in real cattle, real breeding cycles, herd productivity and responsible livestock management.

As the herd moves through its natural production cycle, cows produce calves, calves mature, and value is supported through real agricultural activity. Japie manages this within a structured system of farmer agreements, herd records, animal health practices, reporting and regional allocation.

Because a COW is not fixed to one animal, breed, farm or region, Japie can keep it positioned within the most suitable part of the herd network. This gives Japies access to the value of productive livestock, without the complexity and exposure of direct cattle ownership.

MORE THAN A UNIT OF VALUE

Yes, a COW is linked to real productive cattle. But behind every COW are farmers, land, water, grazing, herd health, breeding cycles, and rural communities.

That is why Japie’s model depends on responsible custodianship.

By becoming a Japie, you are not only holding a position linked to cattle value. You are participating in a model that helps strengthen the farmers and communities who make cattle-backed value preservation possible.

FAQ

Do I receive the offspring from my COW?

Not as one specific calf from one specific cow. A COW forms part of a broader managed herd system. The offspring cycle supports the model by helping to cover ongoing herd management, strengthen production, and preserve the value of the herd over time.

Does my COW grow into a herd by itself?

Not in the traditional sense of direct livestock ownership. Your COW remains a defined productive unit within the Japie system. Its value is connected to the performance, structure and productivity of the broader herd, rather than to one animal multiplying in your personal name.

Will my COW grow in value?

A COW can grow in value. The strength of a COW lies in what it is connected to: real cattle, breeding capacity and food production. Cattle are not abstract assets. They form part of a living agricultural economy built around one of mankind’s most enduring needs: food.

South African cattle-market data supports this long-term value logic. Between 2016 and 2026, selected beef and weaner price indicators increased by roughly 74% to 112%. While this does not guarantee future growth, it shows why productive cattle can serve as a practical store of value over time.

Japie’s focus is not speculation or fixed returns -  thus growth is not guaranteed. Japie's aim is tangible value preservation through real livestock, responsible custodianship and a managed herd system designed to adapt across suitable farms and regions.
